Kalzip® Avantgarde Redefining the Kalzip standing seam system

There is nothing conventional about Kalzip Avantgarde. At BAU 2005, Corus Bausysteme presents a brand new interpretation of the tried and tested Kalzip system. Kalzip Avantgarde creates highly individual and unique standing seam roofs with a flat surface.

The Kalzip Avantgarde system has internal flanges which are
covered with an aluminium capping strip. This means that, even though this is a standing seam system, the surface created is smooth and even. The system also fulfills all structural requirements. The profiles are installed on special low-energy plastic support clips. These clips are fixed into place on the flanges from underneath, guaranteeing non-penetrative attachment, and then friction-locked together using a special bordering machine.

The new Kalzip Avantgarde system is suitable for insulated and non-insulated roofs. Insulation specification can be easily adapted without any problem to suit the respective acoustic and thermal insulation requirements. Both soft and rigid fibre insulation is used, together with a vapour barrier. Kalzip Duo/DuoPlus roofing systems are recommended for those applications where thermal and acoustic insulation requirements are greater than normal.
